Forbes announced its 2007 edition of the world’s billionaires. The list contains 946 billionaires, among which 178 are newcomers. 65% of last year’s billionaires are richer and 17% are poorer. The billionaires’ combined net worth climbed by $900 billion to $3.5 trillion. That equates to $3.6 billion apiece. The average billionaire is 62 years old, two years younger than in 2005. Here’s the number of billionaires per country (the top 15): Apparently, Turkey has 25 billionaires, ranking in the world league at a whopping number 6!

    I wonder how many billionaires there are in Turkey. I thought there were a lot more in Saudi Arabia. Do you know anyone of them (by name, not personally)?
