I just read your post about the Inquirer article, and I think I know Nick Farrell. He once taught journalism at a university I attended. He always bragged how he questioned everything ever since he was a small kid and how asking questions is important for a journalist. Well, it seems he didn't ask ANY questions when reporting for the Inquirer. The most obvious one he missed is, "Who are the PKK." Thanks for finding that article! (Btw, Farrell is not a technology writer, but at our acquaintance, and now again, he certainly struck me as full of--I won't say what) ;-)

Perhaps Mr. Farrel has been to Turkey. If you have been there, you know that Turkey is the most intolerant nation on earth. They brutally suppress all dissent and all cultural diversity. The widespread and longterm suppression of Kurds (as well as Greeks and Armenians) is a historical fact. The official Turkish policy is wipe out all minorities Turkey, and yes that extends to murder whenever they can get away with it.
